This report documents 21 incidents of attacks against journalists in Lebanon, based on firsthand testimonies from victims and their families, cross-checked against verifiable open sources and assessed using the “reasonable grounds to believe” standard.
The report examines 13 Israeli attacks, including the targeting of clearly identifiable press crews, killings through successive strikes, digital threats, and the destruction of a media outlet’s premises. It also documents 8 internal attacks, including arbitrary detention, equipment confiscation, physical assaults, and restrictions on media coverage.
The findings highlight a common pattern across these violations: ineffective investigations and persistent impunity at both the domestic and international levels.
