Apply for the International Press Card

This card is exclusively and exceptionally for members of the Union of Journalists in Lebanon (formerly the Alternative Press Syndicate).
Following the official membership of the Union of Journalists in Lebanon in the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ), our members can now apply for the International Press Card, recognized in 143 countries.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be a member of the Union of Journalists in Lebanon.
- Paid the annual membership fee to the union ($30 for the year 2026).
- Paid the card fee, which is paid in full to the International Federation of Journalists ($37).
- Paid the cost of transferring the card from Brussels to Beirut, in addition to the exceptional fee for printing the name and photo in Lebanon due to the war conditions, and the $8 fee for transferring the amount through the WHISH app or centers.
Card Benefits:
- Valid for two years.
- Recognized in 143 countries.

Before filling out the form:
- Use your full name in English as it appears on your passport.
- A recent passport-style photo with a white background must be attached, and it is preferred that the file name be your full name.
- Blurry photos, selfies, or images generated by artificial intelligence do not meet the requirements and will result in the application being rejected.
- The application must be accompanied by a copy of the receipt confirming payment of the membership fee and the card fee through WHISH centers or the WHISH app.
Payment method:
- The total fee of $75 can be paid through WHISH centers or the WHISH app,
- and send the amount in the name of the Journalist Empowerment Center or to the number 0096170586762.
